Tom Turbeville was raised in Hampton, Va. He has been practicing for over 20 years in Williamsburg, James City County, York, Newport News, Hampton, Gloucester and New Kent and is familiar with the court personnel, the attorneys and prosecutors in these areas. His practice is concentrated in criminal law, personal injury law, and False Claims Act law. He is a 1983 graduate of the College of William and Mary and was admitted to practice law in Virginia in 1989. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia College of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Williamsburg Bar Association. He practices before Virginia Circuit Courts, the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia Federal court. Tom has been chosen as one of the elite practicing Criminal Attorneys in Virginia, an honor published in the well respected monthly Virginia Business Magazine. He is an AV rated lawyer.*

Throughout his career, Mr. Turbeville has been a strong advocate for people who deserve to be treated fairly in the civil and criminal legal system. He has been co-counsel in False Claims Act cases that resulted in the recovery of millions of dollars for the government; he has also recovered substantial sums for his clients in personal injury cases, and has defended and helped hundreds of individuals who became entangled in the criminal justice system.

Mr. Turbeville lives in Williamsburg. He has three daughters, Madison (27), MacKenzie (26) and Kendall (23), and one son, Thomas, (23).
